JUNIOR CHURCH

Coton Green’sJuniorChurch(or Sunday School) comprises Crèche (0-23 months), Glow Worms (2-3 years), Fire Flies (4-5 years), Lighthouse (6-10 years) and Teenage Group (11-14 years).

All children remain in the morning service until it is time for the sermon, unless there is a family service or a baptism, they then leave the main auditorium for their own service geared up to their individual age ranges.  Each group has its own room and dedicated staff who work on a month-about rota throughout the year.

LIGHTHOUSE

Children who come to Lighthouse are exposed to a wide range of teaching and reinforcement methods – drama, story-telling, discussion, crafts, singing, games – to name a few.  The programme being followed travels through the entire Bible over several years; ensuring children are well-grounded in God’s Word.

As these children are getting a little older and more independent, Lighthouse members have the opportunity of going on an outing in June each year with the staff.  This culminates at the end of the day in a barbecue where their families are also invited.  Photographs of the 2011 outing toRoslistonForestryParkcan be seen here on th web site.

In December there is a Christmas Party with a visit from Santa, and the opportunity to take part in the Christmas play.
